QuestionDoes this have to be attached to your phone or is it just a proximity device? Also, not real familiar with 4G but does this work with all cell phone carrier plans? If not, which ones?

QuestionIs the only difference between the booster for a car vs. home the power connection? Or does the car version have better ability to handle motion?

- Answer Difference in power. 12 volt dc verse 110 ac. Also the broadcast signal is much more narrow with the vehicle version. Must be within about 12 inches of booster although directions state 30 inches. The home version has a larger broadcast range but receiving and broadcast antenna must be much further apart than vehicle model. If they get to close it causes a feedback loop.

- Answer Yes. It plugs into a cigarette lighter plug with an on/off toggle switch so you don’t accidentally drain your car battery.

QuestionIn reading the description I'm not sure what is needed for installation. I am working from home with poor cell service due to my area being low. Can you let me know where the 4" antennae goes? Again, home office set up.

- Answer I am using this for home purposes and the exterior antenna needs to be placed in a clear area outside away from windows. I have a metal pole that the magnet of the exterior antenna sticks to. I then wired through a window (which is closed) to connect to the "hub". I keep the interior antenna close to my phone and I have not dropped a call since. Don't worry about damaging the cable when connecting the exterior antenna to the hub. The cable is sturdy and can be closed in a window without affecting the signal. The directions even say the same thing. You will need an AC adapter to power in home, I also got that at Best Buy.

For home products we would recommend looking at the weBoost Home collection like the Home Room (Best Buy SKU 6389038) or the Home MultiRoom (Best Buy SKU 6364298). All booster products are meant to boost the signal from outside your home inside of your home, so depending on how strong your outside signal is would determine your inside signal strength.

- Answer No, just a one time purchase. Before use though, you must register the device with your wireless provider and have your provider’s consent. Most wireless providers consent to the use of signal boosters. Some providers may not consent to the use of this device on their network. If you are unsure, contact your provider.

- Answer The Drive X is designed to help bring in the signal from outside of your vehicle to inside of your vehicle using power from your vehicles 12V DC power supply. Depending on how you power your trailer, you may want to look at the Drive X RV (or Drive Reach RV) version which has a power supply option of an AC/DC Wall or Hardwire.
