My experience showed that it only picks up as good of a signal as broadcasted in your area. I've mounted mine on a 5 foot pvc pipe to raise it higher for reception. Typical outdoor reception on my phone is 2-3 bars. I have 5 bars in the family room now where as before I would get 2 at the window and none in the master (master is 2, trying to improve that with indoor antenna placement).

For example I have 2 bars outside my home. When I plug in my amplifier I have 3- 4 bars inside my home. Cannot express how satisfied I am with the WeBoost !!!!
