A:AnswerOn our microwave the Paperwork said it needed to be 30in above the cook top. If it is a slim microwave then you only need 24in. They don't tell you that in the store. The width is a standard 30in
A:AnswerHello FOOT. You can plug this Whirlpool® Microwave into a wall plug. Please visit https://bit.ly/3evma9n and refer to page 3 for more information.
A:AnswerNo, you only have to add and/or remove plates that are provided to direct the air flow either to the top or back to an outside exhaust. The unit comes setup for inside exhaust.
A:AnswerIt comes set up for recirculating. It also can be set up to vent out the top or the back in the exact spots as any other over the range microwave. I set mine up for the top like my old one.
A:AnswerOurs hasn't popped in a year so I don't know what the wattage is on the factory bulb. I would prefer more light on the cooktop but if the wattage is increased, the lamp overheats and fails rapidly in the very tight lamp housing. Halogen lamps burn hotter and produce more light but installing them in the tight housing of a microwave concentrates the heat. If you are flaming steaks on the stove top or using an electric infrared cooktop, that can overheat the lamp also.
Would a 10W LED lamp be a better substitute? Half the watts is half the heat and probably 2X the light but they are sensitive to overheating also.
