A: I just spoke to a tech about the strong air blowing out the front left vent above the door. He said the fan has to be reversed to vent into the ceiling vent. It comes from the factory with recirculation back into the kitchen. They are coming next week. I will update.

Q: Where is the start button?????
A: It’s the little arrow on the front. You set the time inside and close door and hit the arrow. If you don’t set a time inside , the arrow will just do 30 seconds as a default time
A: Jill, The unit does stick out further than my cabinets as well. Initially I thought it looked a bit odd until everything else was in place. Now, all I get are rave reviews of its appearance in my small compact kitchen. Instead of being an eyesore or looking like the odd man out as far as built-ins and countertop pieces go, it distinguishes itself with a sleek profile a beautiful display and soft lighting. The automatic door open feature with one simple touch, is wonderful. You will not regret this purchase, it’s just different than what we are accustomed to.
Q: Does this microwave only vent to the outside or can it recirculate back into the kitchen?
A: Yes, just installed mine a couple of weeks ago, and it vents to the kitchen. Don't let all the instructions on how to vent to the outside throw you off.

These features are in addition to the greater choice in Fan Speed. The other features are the same for the two units like finished sides and 1000 Watt cooking power. Hope this helps!
A: Upper vent is roof rent. Make sure the microwave flap/damper opens up when fan is running. And, if you have a vent system that goes outside, either up or up and then sideways, that the microwave discharges into the base of the vent. I had to move mine about two invhes toward the front of my cabinet.

Replace a range hood with this!
This is perfect for those that have a range hood, but would rather have an over the range microwave. The cabinet above my range was 18” tall which did not allow for an OTR microwave because the bottom would be too close to the cooktop. This OTR microwave was perfect because it’s only 10-1/4” tall. So after the install, I have 19-1/8” to the bottom of the microwave which is plenty of space. The install was easy. The mounting bracket also doubles as a template for the holes that need to be drilled into the cabinet. This is much easier and faster than trying to deal with paper templates that come with other OTR microwaves. The hardest part was adding an outlet for the microwave to plug into.....and that’s not really hard at all! The microwave is very quiet, but yet powerful. The 3 speed fan is also quiet and powerful. There is also an LED light that shines on the cooktop. This microwave is sleek in design, but very roomy on the inside. I can put a 6” tall bowl in it with no trouble. It has a feature that lets one turn off the turntable that will let one put a 13x9 dish in it with ease. I can not speak for it’s longevity as I have only had it for a few days. I am very happy I made this purchase.

Low profile microwave
Overall decent buying experience with best buy. However you could do without the mask police at the front door. The low profile whirlpool microwave we purchased works well for the space. Looks sleek a little pricey for a microwave but that seems to be the way with low profile. Has some cool features like the touch screen is like your phone you don't have to use pressure. To open you lightly touch and " bink" it pops open ...kinda cool ..heats food good and easy to dyi install!

Space Saver Minimalist microwave
This low profile whirlpool microwave is a must have for every kitchen. The sleek and modern low profile design, is the perfect appliance for any kitchen . It doesn’t take up a lot of space, is as powerful as a full sized microwave and allows enough clearance above the range so you can cook with ease, even when using taller pots on your stove . If your into minimalism, then this is the microwave for you . I selected the white low profile microwave, because I’m into the retro / classic kitchen design. I find that white appliances give a kitchen a clean, neat and welcoming kitchen vibe. The kitchen is said to be the heart of the home. So, it’s imperative that you select appliances that will enhance your cooking experience, while making lasting memories preparing meals for family and friends . #whirlpool low profile microwave- great buy with great features.
