“On the inside of the microwave, how many inches from the wire rack to the turntable?”

I used a measuring tape and would say 4.5 inches. However, while the microwave is in use the wire rack shouldn't remain in the microwave per warning labels. I need to read instructions on the racks purpose and haven't.
