Which side of the microwave has the gap? Can you send pics? When I mounted mine, I used the bottom braces that came with it and bolted the top underneath my cabinet that is over the range. It is flush on all sides due to cabinets being on all sides except for the back. There might be a slight gap between the backside of microwave and the wall..
