“Is the ice bin always that hard to make it latch in the closed position It open easily but I had a tough time getting it to latch back closed”

The plastic latch mechanism is fairly basic. It does unlatch easy, and you do have to push carefully to secure that latch though. It should function like that, because you want to make sure that it doesn’t come loose by itself. Overall, that nice refrigerator and freezer was a nice purchase.
