There is an option you can choose for a 1 hr wash. Most dishwashers take 1 to 2 hours to run completely . You can always stop it on the dry cycle but that may mean spots in your dishes

They say that's how it cleans so well and is so efficient, the look time soaks dishes longer and gets them cleaner. Btw it does actually work, and it's quieter than old V8 powered dishwashers of yore. One of the cycles actually takes almost 4 hours! There is a 1 hour wash that uses only twice the water but still 10 times less than and old one and probably does at least as good a job as that 30 year old one I got rid of that took only 40 minutes.
