- A: AnswerNo - it comes with wires to the dishwasher in a box on the front. If your existing dishwasher uses a standard plug under the sink, you would need a power cord. If your existing dishwasher taps into a romex cable in the cabinet you can just use a couple wire nuts to hook it up in the power box. Make sure you turn off the breaker first though. Also, it doesn't come with a strain relief collar so you'll need that if you want it up to code.

- A: AnswerHello there! There is very little difference in height, width, and depth between a tall tub and regular tub dishwasher. The tall tub allows for plates that are larger than normal the space needed to clean properly. I have a link between two units, the tall tub on the right, that will help show the specs between the two units. I hope it helps you. http://www.whirlpool.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/WHRCompareProductsDisplay?catalogId=10561&categoryId=721820&langId=-1&storeId=10211

- A: AnswerMost likely your heating element isn't working. If it doesn't heat the detergent up to a certain temperature than it will leave (smear) residue and globs of detergent over your dishes.

- A: AnswerThank you for your interest in Whirlpool dishwashers. I have been looking at our brands and most require a 33 1/2 height to fit the units. The feet removed or lowered my only provide about 1/2" of space at the most, so the fit will be tight but it should work. I have provided the use and care guide as it provides the minimums required to install the dishwasher so you know before the purchase. I hope this provides the best guide and help possible. Q: QuestionWhat is the decibel level?(5 answers)
A: AnswerThe decibel level is 51-55 dBA.Answered by CommunityAnswer
- A: AnswerIf you look at the instruction manual, you can see how you can adjust the springs. Basically you pull the dishwasher out and you will see a spring on either side connected to the base. There are a series of holes that you can move the spring to. Towards the door will lessen the tension and away will increase it. It sounds like yours it too tense. Try moving the spring towards the doors a slot or two (both side equally) until you get the tension you like. You shouldn't have to have the lower rack out just to keep the door from closing. Hope this helps.

Great!
Excellent dishwasher. Dried on food is totally gone … even on my crockpot! Really quiet. No bulky handle to come loose later

Whirlpool 24" Dishwasher
I purchased this dishwasher to replace my 15 year old GE dishwasher. I shopped for price, color, and quiet. The dishwasher was easy to install provided youpurchase the installation kit (additional charge). The silverware tray is flimsy and comes off the inside of the door to rest on 2 plastic prongs attached to the end of the bottom tray. It has 2 rotating water blades which helps clean. The cycle is really long so I recommend the 1 hour cycle to save water and power. The drying element doesn't work very well as the dishes are still damp when it finishes. All of my dishes come out nice and squeeky clean but we do rinse and brush them before placing them in the dishwasher, which believe helps. The best feature's are the sleek look and the ver VERY quiet cycles. I have a great room with a pass through opening to my kitchen so with our old machine we could only run it at bed time or in the morning when no one was watching TV in the great room. I run it on the one hour cycle without heat drying and leave the dishes inside until it cools, they are just as dry as when I select the heat drying cycle. Overall for the price it is a very good dishwasher.

Works well
Simple to use, sleek design, pretty quiet, cleans, what more could you ask for. Well me, I'd ask for a better drying function. I'm wise enough to position glasswear etc at an angle so water doesn't pool on it, and mostly this is effective enough. It's the silverware section on the door that NEVER comes out dry. Never. I typically just wipe them with paper towel, takes 30 seconds. This would not stop me from purchasing the same model again, just something y'all should know. The silverware compartment can me removed off the door and placed on the main washing rack, that may make a difference, haven't tried it yet.
