Hi Mickey77, thank you for you inquiry. This drain and fill scenario is referred to as "siphoning". This happens when the drain hose is pushed too far into the drain stand pipe. It is recommended that the drain hose only be pushed in 4 1/2 inches. If you are not using a drain stand pipe, make sure the drain hose is positioned at the correct height from the floor.
