Can you change the door the other way open? null

Hello, this model Dryer is designed with a hamper door. It can not be reversed to open any other way. We hope this information helps.

No, you don't need to switch directions. The door opens directly down which, in my opinion makes it great. No more door swinging shut while you are loading or unloading, it just stays down,
