Can the door be changed to open to the left? null

No. This door opens down. It is like a tray that helps that catch items from falling in the floor. I don't know if the door can be change to open side to side. It is up to the builder of this dryer to manufacture one with a door that opens side to side. I like this dryer because dries the clothes and blankets. If I do not want to drie the clothes completely or too much ,I use the minutes like 20 or less. I put tge clothes in a hanger and let it dry at room temperature and still looks like being soft ironed. I think it helps to preserve the color. .
