• I never set up the Alexa function, and can still use the soundbar via bluetooth. The mobile app (which I recommend - its super useful to fine tune settings) will bully you into setting up Alexa, but it is not necessary to enable to any of the non-Alexa features of the unit, as far as I can tell.
