• A:Answer Yes you can, but you can also use the app as a controller and set up your sound settings. I used the supplied optical cable and ran that to TV, then ran hdmi to arc connections. My tv remote now controls the volume. And if I want to change the bass or other settings I use the app. I put the small included remote in my junk drawer.

• A:Answer Hello, you can try pointing the remote at the camera on a smart phone or IPad to see if the infrared light is working to rule out that it’s only the remote. And you can can always download the Yamaha Sound Bar app on a smart device that works as a remote as well. Hope this helps.

• A:Answer I have used both ARC (audio return channel) and optical to get sound to my sound bar. I like ARC because when you turn your TV on/off, volume up/down the sound bar will go on/off, volume up/down. If you use optical you must do it yourself. Look at the back of your TV, if it supports ARC, they will label one of the HDMI ports.

Q: QuestionCan you connect two pair of AirPods to the soundbar at the same time via Bluetooth?

• A:Answer i really don't think so. The Bluetooth app is just for turning on and performing such things as changing the volume for example. My only disappointme1 with the sound bar is that you can't hear signal in my Bose headphones. You need an external device such as, for example a 1MII which you connect via a TOS line and it will rebroadcast what the sound bar is producing. It is weird that the Yamaha didn't think of this option. Even with the 1Mii Wireless Transmitter it is still is kind of a pain in the butt! But it works. It takes a lot of "fiddle-farting" with this device but it works!! I hope this helps you
