“I don’t track on the HDMI ARC. I need this for a Bravia from 2007. It has HDMI. Will this work with a different cable?”

• I have used both ARC (audio return channel) and optical to get sound to my sound bar. I like ARC because when you turn your TV on/off, volume up/down the sound bar will go on/off, volume up/down. If you use optical you must do it yourself. Look at the back of your TV, if it supports ARC, they will label one of the HDMI ports.
