A:AnswerNot sure what they are rated for. I live in Indiana, so the winters will get down below freezing and the summers will have heat indexes above 100. I leave these out all year long. Granted I have them under my overhang by my pool so they don't get direct "weather", but they are exposed to the temperatures I mentioned. I have not had any problem with these speakers since I installed them a couple years back.
A:AnswerThese speakers utilize the standard two-wire (black/red) connections so provided the source of the output has these connections, you can connect them. For TV sound, unless the TV has these speaker connections (not typical) you may have to first connect the TV to a receiver and then the speakers to it.
A:AnswerIt would be best to LINE-IN your computer sound to a receiver amplifier and them plug these speakers into the amp. Your computer will not power these speakers.
A:AnswerIf your sound bar has speaker outs and sends an amplified signal out, then yes. But most likely your sound bar will not offer this option unless it offers 5.1 surround output or better.
A:AnswerWe have them in our back yard. One of them hangs under some branches and the other one on the side of my tool shed. We have received some pretty heavy rains and they still sound good.
A:AnswerTo a certain extent but they for sure are Weather proof, You may not use these speakers under water not even for a second they must be installed under a Eve or up high on an exterior wall etc….
A:AnswerYou can alway install a Volume control before the speaker but I’m not quite understanding the Auxiliary part? Did you mean External Volume control like in the wall bellow or near the speaker location please note the Yamaha outdoor speakers are passive speakers ONY ( they aren’t powered) like Sonos or studio monitors are!
A:AnswerNot with just a mixer by itself No! But if it is a Powered Mixer then by all means YES! But I would most definitely only use them for highs and midrange speakers and ad one or two Subwoofers preferably powered subwoofers to handle all your low end because those little Yamaha 5” spkr’s won’t push out any low frequency’s.
A:AnswerThese particular Yamaha outdoor speakers are 35 watts RMS I recommend a amplifier/Receiver with at least a minimum of 50 watts per channel or higher output, and depending on the distance for example your going to install these speakers 50 to 100 feet away from the Amp/receiver the further the speaker the more power needed plus the thicker the speaker wire used will need to be, use a lower Gauge like 12 to 14 wire gauge for long distance this will give you less resistance and will allow for more amplifier power to reach the speakers, please not that Low frequency’s like the Bass requires the most power in every speaker system so if you like lots of Bass either buy a larger speaker or ad a powered subwoofer to your system.
A:AnswerTypically they are Red & Black plastic twist ends with gold plated Speaker
Post style with Banana plug option and speaker post wiring option, the Banana plug option ( highly recommended) requires two male banana plugs ( not supplied with your new speakers ) or you can just strip the ends of you positive & negative speaker wires and loosen the Red & Black plastic speaker posts ends till you see a small hole in each metal gold plated post and gently fit one twisted end into each of the holes in the metal posts and tighten each plastic post end till the Spkr wire is secure and won’t easily pull out.
