“I am looking at the Polk audio T series speakers will they pair up good with this receiver. Should I be concerned about the ohms? The receiver is 8 ohms and the speakers are 6 ohms. I’m new at building a surround sound.”

You could switch 6 ohm. Go to setup, SPEAKER - scroll down to bottom to SP Impendence. Set to 6.
