I wish mine could fly period. However to answer your question all drones have the ability that they could fly away. I own the yuneec typhoon 4k for about a year and 1/2 and I am lucky if it flies. Battery life is horrible to say it nicely. Buyer BEWARE!!!!!!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. All drones can fly away but firmware can help by going to its pre-set procedures when this happens but don't know how reliable that is. Drones use common frequencies at 2.4GHZ and 5.8GHZ so I wouldn't fly around other people with drones or in a place where similar radio frequencies may be used as your drone will try to negotiate with other frequencies sort of like a tug of war there and you wonder why your drone is flying away. I think some firmware has it to where it will land straight down if it flies into regulated airspace so fly safe.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. Not of its own accord, no. If the controller signal is lost, it simply hovers.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a Typhoon 4k as well as a phantom 4 Pro and I know the much more expensive phantom 4 Pro will get away in certain circumstances. So I would imagine the Yuneecs will too.
