The regular cables will not allow you to see the 4K, so if you have that in your electronics, I would suggest you upgrade your cables. Most of the time the salesmen don't tell you that you need to get special cables to be able to view this kind of upgrade in viewing. It does help!

Solid construction, a little pricy.

I bought it because I needed a cable in a pinch, and this was available at the store. The specs mentioned 2.0 compliance; however, I suspect that your old standard cables will work just fine for most 4K TV unless you're running very long length.
