Plug in and go. Picture is clear. The cord is sturdy and doesn't seem like would wear.

I tried hooking up my sound bar with an optical cord. It was frustrating for me and I had issues I could not resolve. I bought an HDMI cord and all of the issues dissolved. It was so much better

You can spend a ton of money on more expensive cables but that does not mean you are going to get any better picture quality or any more brilliant color from your tv. The only real difference is that you paid more. The HDMI cable that comes with your tv is most adequate unless you need something longer than 4 feet...then these cable do the job really well and at 1/3 the cost of the brand names...save your money.

For 2 years, we lost the sound sporadically on our new Samsung TV. It was hell. The sound would go out multiple times per day. I hated Samsung. We figured out if we touched the generic HDMI cable, the sound would come back for a few seconds, minutes or hours. We decided to try changing the generic cable with this one. Done. No more sound problems. Not once since the change weeks ago. The cable kept us from trashing a perfectly good TV. Love it! : )

I have more expensive HDMI cables for my home theater and used these for a bedroom setup. I often wonder how much cable makes a difference but this wasn't too expensive and I didn't want my set up with 4k TV and blu ray to be limited with cheap cable. So I think this a compromise between cheap and expensive cabling. I have a great picture with the blu ray player and satellite TV using these cables.
