    After comprehensive troubleshooting involving changing PS4 settings, multiple hdmi cables, HDMI ports on 4K TV, and separate HDTV, the odd man out was this cable. Shorter no-name brand cable worked in all ports and on different TV. My hypothesis is that it is an HDCP incompatibility issue, and the cable is not support the required version.
