Hooked it up every way possible but it did not work. There was noise on speakers but it was just static. Box was off shelf but it had been taped up like it was opened and returned.

Dial up modems have better sound

Ended up with an unholy screeching that made dial up modems sound sexy by comparison. Yes, the box was set to the correct switch and tried with power on and power off.

The bigger problem is TVs do not provide the RCA jacks making you buy a sound bar for additional sound output. I had a beautiful amplifier with 4 speakers .... now in the closet.

The one I have currently functions in a very limited capacity. The techs at Insignia were of no help at all as were the sales people at Best Buy.
