I purchased this to connect an older Bose system with RCA connections to a newer TV with an optical connection for sound. Set up took 5 minutes and the connection is flawless.

Does a good job works perfectly. No loss in signal quailty

I was not allowed into the store so I just told someone what I needed and they went and got it for me. When I saw it I did not think it was what I needed but the salesperson assured me it was so I took it home and tried it. It did not work so I had to return it. I was still not able to look myself for the part i needed so I gave up and went elsewhere. It may be a good product but not what I wanted.

Inexpensive and does the job without issue. Recommended if you need a simple DAC for your TV.

Getting a new TV with new outputs to an old receiver that had co-axials was a chore. Upon the excellent advice from the salesman, I was able to purchase the correct converter. I’d recommend this!

Sound quality of my Samsung TV is terrible. There is no analog audio output, but digical "optical" output is available. This Optical/Coaxial Digital-to-Analog Converter does a good job to connect to outside speakers.

I don't know how this converter works, as I picked the wrong one and didn't realize it til I got home. I returned it for a full refund from a less than pleasant customer service person.

Cheaper to buy this and connect my old Pioneer 680 Amp and Bose speakers than to buy a sound bar. Only down side is analog control of volume, etc.

The product was exactly what I expected it to be easily installed the operation is great better than expected.

My television only has one optical audio output and I needed to use my wireless headphones that only have an analog connection. This is just the converter needed.

I wanted to plug my sonos 5 into my tv, and this was perfect for the job... I used the optical out from the tv to turn the signal analog, and woks perfect....

It does the job that was created for exactly how it should please go ahead and purchase this item if you need something like this

I cannot give this product, because the directions are incomplete. I was about to return this converter as defective until I happened to notice on another Insignia device, a sound bar, that it is necessary to set the TV output to PCM! Nowhere in the instructions is any reference to "PCM" !!!

I bought this because I have an older sound system and a newer TV. Hooked it up and it seems to work well. I wish it were less expensive but that's the only one I found.

This product is great for the Bose cinemate. It does the job if you only have analog (red and white) inputs and need to hook in digital audio. There are better converters but for 30 bucks it'll do great for now.

This worked great for about a week then my system started screeching through my speakers and would not stop until i unplugged it

Bought a Sony Bluray DVD player that only has digital out put. This purchase was a necessary add on to connect to a RCA input. This worked but beware the out puts on the DVD players.
