For this, it's perfect. It is completely plug-and-play. Just plug in an ethernet connection to one of the ports, and the other four ports will spread that connection to a further four devices. This would also be great in a home theater/entertainment center situation where there are multiple devices (like a game console, Blu-Ray player, smart-TV, etc) that can utilize an available wired connection. Devices like that always work better with a wired connection, and this is an uncomplicated way to provide it. Highly recommended.
