I was a little hesitant at first because I wasnt sure if the Switch Lite was going to be less powerful or immersive as the Switch Console is, but that is not the case at all. The switch lite is beautifully designed with a very crisp and clear screen that is surprisingly big, the joysticks are smooth, and the overall gameplay is lag-free and flawless. The only complaint I have is the button arrangement but this can be changed in the control panel within the settings, but then again I am an Xbox player so the controls are a little off, but you remember the button placement after a few hours. So far, Im really impressed with this handheld console. On a full-charge playing Animal Crossing, I can get about 6 1/2 hours of full-time gameplay before it needs to be plugged in. I do wish the charging cable was longer as it is pretty short, but otherwise I have NO complaints about the console itself at all. Definitely something to invest in if youre an avid gamer like me, and being a single-mom this console gives me the flexibility to play my games whenever and wherever I want. If you travel a lot on planes for business or even pleasure, this is something to look into getting. The nintendo store on the console is also very cool. I like that I can go into the store and buy a new game anytime I want and have it digitally downloaded. Also, if youre planning on adding a lot of games, I highly recommend getting a 1TB MicroSD card as the console itself only comes with 32GB and with Skyrim + Animal crossing downloaded, I only have 4GB of space leftover on the console itself. The console takes up some of that 32GB space with the hardware so really youre only getting about 24GB, which goes fast. The switch itself is very sturdy and designed to be durable. The screen feels like a thick glass but projects a beautifully clean, crisp, and clear image. I feel like even if you dropped this on the floor, it wouldnt get damaged at all- it is very thick plastic they used and Im very impressed. For the price, you definitely get your moneys worth

The Nintendo Switch Lite is a great console for people who like to play games on the go. It is smaller and lighter than the regular Nintendo Switch, which makes it easy to carry and comfortable to hold for long periods of time. The system has a bright, clear screen and runs popular games like Mario Kart, Animal Crossing, and Pokémon very smoothly. Even though it cannot connect to a TV, it still offers a fun gaming experience with its built-in controls. Overall, the Nintendo Switch Lite is a good choice for gamers who want a simple, portable, and affordable console.

I had been contemplating on getting the Nintendo Switch Lite because I already have the normal system but I liked the idea of having something more compact and easily accessible. I began my search for the Lite but all I could locate were the gray colored one. So I went to Best Buy as a last minute thought. They had all the colors so I ended going with the turquoise one. Got home and immediately began playing games on my Lite! The colors are bright, the contrast crisp, and I actually feel more like I did when I was younger with my Gameboy Color! The system runs smoothly and efficiently! This was one of the best things for me to find in 2020 due to everything going on!

After playing this a few times, and with there being some great games, I really like the Switch Lite. It's a comfortably-sized handheld with responsive buttons and joysticks. It's intuitive, unlike it's predecessor the Wii U. I am not a hard-core gamer, but I have been playing Nintendo systems since the original NES when I was in grade school. I found the Wii U difficult to understand and use in the beginning. Not so with the Switch Lite. I was very uninterested in the Switch when it first came out. Since this console had zero backward-compatibility, and it still cost the usual console price of $300, I preferred to stick with my New Nintendo 3DS, where I have an extensive game library. However, over the years, I've seen some great games come to the Switch, and with the NEW and Super NES games that can be played on it, my interest grew. But not enough for $300. The $200 price point is much easier to swallow, and honestly, I love the size of this unit. It's just big enough, light-weight, and the screen looks great. I do have a few downers on this unit however: - It's not very comfortable to hold for long periods. I found a great protective case for it that adds a grip feature, and that helps, but of course, more investment. - No backwards compatibility with DS/3DS games (yes, I know, hard to accomplish with a single screen). - The games are expensive. VERY expensive. Overall, I am happy to have purchased the Switch Lite. I was much more comfortable with the lower price-point, and I can enjoy a lot of the games I was interested in.

Its portability makes it perfect for on-the-go gaming, and the extensive library ensures there's something for everyone. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or new to Nintendo, the Switch Lite delivers endless entertainment. Highly recommended for its performance and convenience!

Bought this instead of the normal switch and I am pleased with my decision. Because you cannot dock it the joy-con portion of the system is permanently attached and feels similar to the old PSP systems but larger. The screen is smaller than the normal switch but big enough to have the detail and visibility that you’d need. Battery life is good and portability is excellent. Case is recommended.

    Fun Portable System

This device is so much fun! I was looking for something portable for trips, flights, etc., and this proved to be a great investment. It lasted the whole flight from DC to Colorado, and still had half the battery-life left. I will say, something VERY important to consider, is if you are purely looking for a portable device then the Lite version is great - but for me I ran into instances where I wished I could play certain games on a big screen (TV), so I inevitably traded up the Lite for a normal Switch. It's purely preference; I do believe the Lite is more stable and durable from a "portability" standpoint. The Switch's removable joycons (remotes) do feel slightly loose, whereas the Lite they are built in so you don't have that issue. Because of this I think the Lite version may be more "kid-friendly" due to the durability. Overall, I would recommend this to anyone wanting to purchase a mobile gaming system. Brought back all the old Gameboy feelings from childhood! **PSA - buy an SD card when you get this; 128G is usually fine. The software downloads for games takes up a lot of space.

If you are looking to buy a Nintendo Switch but really don't want to spend a crazy amount of money, go with the Lite. The console is attractive and feels light and easier to fit in the hands. The display is slightly smaller and does not have the ability to be displayed on the TV but if you are like me and enjoy playing directly on the console, this is the better option. It also does not have removable joy cons, which i enjoy. They don't die like with the original one. I highly recommend!

I bought this to play some of the older Nintendo games on the Nintendo eShop, and I haven't been let down. I really enjoy the family plan that Nintendo offers—$80 a year for up to 8 people is a great deal. The battery life is amazing; my son uses his more than I do because his original Switch has much shorter battery life compared to mine. I would definitely recommend getting a bigger SD card, as one game can quickly fill the 32GB of onboard memory. Personally, I enjoy the retro games more than the newer ones. Works great with my phones hotspot so i am able to always have internet when needed.

Graphics are good, battery life was consistently good, easy to play. The joysticks can break easily and it ids not easy to get them replaced, so if buying for a child I might recommend the full Switch console to a parent instead of the Lite, if you want a reparable console that will last years.

Now that you can buy titles like Diablo, Need for Speed, and Hades from the Nintendo store this is too good to pass up. Plus, it's finally available in a color that isn't gray or pastel. I really like the color and the device is very snappy and light. You play Youtube and Hulu on it but there is no Netflix. To get a Chrome browser you have to do an elaborate trick. None of that matters though. For $200 bucks you can play some really nice games and it's comfy to hold.

This feels sooo much better in the hands than the bulkier original Switch, that I can't go back. Even though its lighter, it feels more solid as the joycons do not come off, and it doesn't bend like the old one did. My arms don't get tired at all holding this. AND it had an actual D-pad! I also do not notice the smaller screen when playing, at all. It's just a much more pleasant handheld experience, which is exactly why I go it.
