    Worst printer ever!

Epson, what were you thinking? Where to start, Having 3 paper trays is a horrible design. The trays are flimsy and very difficult to work with. The main paper tray only holds about 20 sheets of 8 1/2 x 11 paper. To connect to the printer, you need to load a CD or go to their website and download the drivers. Once connect. The printer jammed easily. When trying to use the direct feed from the rear of the printer, it pulled the paper through without printing and then printed on a piece of paper in the cassette tray. It would not automatically reconnect to the Wifi when it went in sleep mode until you turned if off and back on. This definitely went back to the store. I use to like Epson's but they never should have produced this piece of junk. Replaced it with the HP 8035E and so far it's has been fabulous.

This printer was very easy to set up. This is the first time I've user a wireless connection and the set up and operation has been flawless. The speed of printing is great, as is the print quality.

FIRST, the printer eats ink like crazy. SECOND, if one of the color inks runs out, you cannot print in black and white. And THIRD, replacing the paper is a nightmare because there are so many paper trays and finding the right now is a giant hassle.

I have a workforce printer before this one, I thought it would be nice to upgrade... Boy was I wrong. This thing does not print anywhere close to the quality of the workforce. I have tried to change all the settings I could find and it's just not the same. If you just need something to say you have a printer it will be fine. But if you want something that's nice find a Workforce from about 5 years ago.

Solid printer with limited paper cassette capacity

Fairly easy install. Print quality is very good, but I'm disappointed with paper cassette capacity in comparison to my Epson Workforce printer. I still have not figured out how to perform scans from the printer itself, directing the scan results via email. Instructions are lacking. Scanning directed from a connected PC was straightforward.

When it works, it produces good output and scans well. But if you're not using it constantly, it times out and you spend 20 minutes trying to get it to start responding to print requests. I've never had a modern printer that was this much trouble to actually use. I don't see myself going with an Epson printer in the future.

For the price, the Epson XP-7100 is a great buy. I continue to purchase Epson printers because it's the only one I find that prints on CDs. Yes, I'm still using CDs.

The printer had the features I needed, including the document feeder for scanning. WiFi functionality has been spotty, but I don't attribute that to the device.

When my previous printer quit working, I basically came to the store and picked out the least expensive option with similar functionality. I’ve been presently surprised with the ease of setup and print quality. As an added bonus, it smaller than my last printer as well.

I got this printer as a replacement for older rosin model. I was out of ink and replacement ink was $75 so for $99 I got this printer and the replacement ink was much cheaper. So far I have no complaints. This printer does all the same as my older one and ink cost less so I’m pleased.

The only thing that is not to my liking is loading the paper. You should be able to load the paper from the back (facing you) and you have to move the out feed to the closed position in order to get to the paper.

Liked my Canon Pixma better as allows you to continue printing in black and white when color cartridges are empty which the Epson doesn’t. Canon lasted longer too!
