Printer was easy to set up and prints faster than expected. Document printing is satisfactory; however, photo printing is very disappointing. I was using a Canon PIXMA MX922 and all aspects of the printer were great. The prints on the G6020 are faded in appearance, colors are not true, and the edges of items in the print are not well defined. I have tried all types of print paper, realigned the heads,and cleaned the heads twice but still have poor results on printing photos. The color on the realignment pages that are printed are not vivid and the black seems more gray. Would not recommend this printer for printing photos.

When unpacking be sure to remove the orange plastic piece behind the print head compartments. Follow the instructions for setup with a MAC. Rotate the control panel at least one click. Was a bit finicky connecting to wifi, Some videos on youtube showed using the link button on the control panel. The instructions did not show to use the link button but I did press it for about 3 seconds and the printer did link after a few minutes so be patient. IMPORTANT the control panel must be rotated up at least one click or there is an error message and no printing. Set up was fairly straight forward, just be patience. Double sided printing works but is slow. The copy button is the top button of the row of 3 buttons on the left. When adding the ink you may need to tilt the bottle a tiny bit to prevent air lock. There are some helpful youtube videos for this printer.

Pros: - No more expensive ink cartridges!! - Easy to setup and get ready - About 6,000 pages per black ink bottle - About 7,700 pages from the three colors - Mobile app support for printing Cons: - Scans only one page at a time --Setup-- Setting up the PIXMA G6020 is very easy and straightforward. After removing all the tape that holds parts together for shipment, you just need to install the color and B&W print heads, fill up the ink chambers, and then plug in the power cable. You can either setup your printer for wireless network printing (which is really convenient for printing from your phone) or use a USB printer cable if your G6020 is going to be sitting on your desk next to your PC. After loading paper into the printer, it will print out two test pages. This is just to ensure that everything is working correctly. You can even print out a test page with the network settings as well. --Performance-- The G6020 is much quieter than my previous printer, which is great. It prints out pages at a typical speed for consumer printers and everything comes out looking great. The paper tray even has a small, clear window so you can see how much paper is left at all times. My only complaint about the G6020 is when it comes to scanning documents: it can only manually scan one page at a time. Thankfully it scans quite quickly, and combined with the Canon printer software from their website, you can scan multiple pages (one at a time) and have all of them placed in the same PDF. --Maintenance-- Canon claims that with the G6020 you can get up to 6,000 pages from one bottle of blank ink, and up to 7,700 pages from the three colored bottles (I obviously haven't tested this claim yet). So depending on how much printing you do at home, you shouldn't need to buy bottles of ink too often. When you do need to refill the ink chambers, the bottles are offered from Canon's website and from Best Buy. It's MUCH more convenient and efficient than the old ink cartridges (please recycle the old bottles though). --Bottom Line-- I truly hated my previous printers due to constantly having problems with ink cartridge "issues" (seriously, how does a printer suddenly not recognize it's own brand of cartridge after 2 weeks of use?!?!), so my faith in consumer printers has been restored with the ability to just buy bottles of ink when needed! If you're looking for a new printer, I HIGHLY recommend looking at the Canon PIXMA G6020. You pay more upfront for the printer, but you'll save money in the longrun by buying bottles over expensive cartridges.

Purchased this for my sister's birthday; She love the print quality. The issue she had was that it needs to connect Wi-Fi, which it sometimes struggles with, regardless best printer we ever owned by far.

Well packaged. After watching a couple of videos and following the instructions it took about an hour and a half to completely set up and get connected to WiFi. Prints faster than I expected with very good quality. Photos come out okay even though it's not a photo printer. The mega tank is a super cool concept fairly easy to fill although you may have to wiggle the bottle a little bit.

The print quality is great, and was easy to set up and use. Highly recommended.

So far the ink is good last for more printing , assembly is straight forward

G6020 replaced series G3200 ... although i had numerous issues in getting it to connect and stay connected to my wifi, it now works flawlessly (issues were self inflicted, btw) and the quality, color and response is functioning perfectly. Am very pleased with this new canon and the price was the best found from over a dozen sources !

I love this printer, the colors are great. The quality of my pictures is so much better. This was a great buy. I found it a little difficult to get it hooked up to my home network, but we managed and have had no other issues. It was a great buy

Good quality but beware of printing color on back to back printing ink doesn't dry enough and makes smug on other side

This printer was easy to install. The print quality is top notch on documents and photos. We haven't had to order ink yet but I appreciate the value of the ink.

I love this printer! It has not had any issues with any of my projects so far. The ink has lasted way longer than I expected.

average print quality. set-up is a pain. never had this much trouble connecting a printer to wi-fi. screen is impossible to read and you have to lift the panel up for it to operate but when you press any button it goes back down. very frustrating. this replaced a HP printer which lasted me for years. Only switched because I was tired of $$$ for cartridges. Wish I purchased another HP

Purchased this printer a month ago based on the reviews and it seems to print well however very difficult to see the little, tiny screen with NO backlight. You need a flashlight to see the info on the screen. What were they thinking?

The control panel does not have a light. I wouldn't have bought it if I had know that. I had a terrible time setting it up. No scanner. It prints fine, and the photos are great...Canon please add an LED to this until, and you would get a 5 star. Mm

The printer is easy to setup. It could have been alittle simpler to connect to mobile devices and had a back-lit screen but for the price it's definitely worth it.

Very good value came with LOTS of ink especially black. Prints very well, on network, I think it is fast. Nice printer.
