Beware Subscription needed for video recordings

I think it is an easy setup and a decent alarm system but I cannot get over the fact that you need to pay for each camera if you want to save any video after the 30 day trial video. I understand that saving videos requires cloud storage but I am disappointed that Ring could not provide some very basic storage option considering the price of its products. At least Arlo saves videos for up to five cameras for a week without the need of a subscription. Without the subscription you still get alerts but by the time you get to the live camera, you will likely miss what caused the movement in the first place. I wish I would have known this before I purchased this system and now I am unable to return it. Good luck selecting an alarm system that does not want to force you into excessive subscriptions.
