I originally purchased a Blink outdoor camera and after setting it up, it was not what I expected. I returned it and purchased the Ring camera (after researching it's capabilities). This battery operated camera worked exactly how I anticipated. I have the camera set up at least 40 miles from my residence and with it's wifi capability, I can monitor any intrusion. I actually purchased the Ring Spotlight camera as well and love it!

Great camera and great video picture. Battery last a good while but I don’t have it on 24-7

The camera has good clarity. The sound pick-up is also quite good. I get good resolution views on my iPhone from the images. It does pick up some motion that records that it probably shouldn't such as a big truck passing out on the street some fifty feet away. It does well on catching people coming and going up the driveway. I haven't noticed any images of the neighbor cats; that's good! Time will tell about how well the plastic housing will handle the intense summer heat.

I love this ring camera, I use it for inside so I can see if my kids sneak snacks in the middle of the night or someone enters out home we know about it. It’s set up with the ring monitoring professional system and it rocks! I’m so happy I really look at reviews in case I want to know what customers think because that’s what I wanna know! That’s why I don’t mind doing these surveys, could help someone make. GreAt choice!

Battery life is fairly good, lasts about 45 days between charges. Motion sensitivity settings are very finicky, but once you have fine tuned them they work decently. Not as good as wired cameras as far as performance, and I wish I would have waited on the wired option instead of impulse buying the battery version (wireless not in stock at the time of purchase)
