    Its a hit or miss with this model, meaning its a gamble, sometimes you get a working unit, sometimes its troublesome and keeps disconnecting, I highly suggest you get the extended Geek Squad warranty, less headache when it fails,..!

    I’m a technologically-challenged person, so I was nervous about my ability of getting the NETGEAR WiFi Extender set up. My worries were unfounded. The instructions were clear and easy. Not only was I able to have it up and running in minutes, but I no longer experience any lag in my WiFi connection.

    I'm not a genius, I'm not an IT person, but I'm not a dummy either. I tried following the directions with this, I went online and looked for assistance and still couldn't figure out how to get it to work. I finally gave up and purchased something from the same manufacturer but cost a little less and had much better reviews. Upon setting that up, our internet had been successfully extended throughout the house and we had no issues. The Netgear extender that I bought is a smaller white extender. It plugs directly into a socket and has an antenna on either side. As I said, it is less expensive and it was very easy to set up. If I could remember the name of it right now I would let everyone know. Sorry.

    Used this to extend signal from an AT&T Fiber router and to have separate 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks. Ethernet ports are a plus.

    Excellent way to extend an ethernet appliance with WIFI (bridge application). Minor negative is slow boot up and connect time.
