BIG MISTAKE WILL NOT BUY FROM BEAT BUY AGAIN

I have had problems with it from the moment the warranty expired. It was very pricey for me and it is worthless. I do not recommend buying on this website as the warranty is not going to help you the moment it’s expired. The vacuum obviously has an electrical issue, it turns off over and over while using, at times impossible to get it to switch on at all.

Rolls are not improvement

Had high hopes...

Now it seems to struggle with picking up most things on the carpet. The front roller collects too much hair and drops it in big globs on the floor. Unfortunately I missed the return date but I will definitely be replacing this and purchasing a different brand for my needs.

Stopped working fast!!

Buyer beware with the Shark Vertex

It was amazing the first time, picked up so much more that my Dyson ball, to be fair my Dyson was 11 years old, but the Shark Wertex was incredible. Turned it on the second time and it was dead. There was no suction, and the wand would not work when disconnected from the machine. I called up Shark and they said to return it or I could mail to them and in 2-10 business days after they receive, I would get a new one. Customer service was good, but how could you not be after one use and one week of ownership. I will give them one more shot if they have this in stock at best buy when I return. If they do not have it in stock, back to Dyson I go. Quality is horrible, but the product was great the one time it worked. Buyer beware.

Quit Working After 3 Months

Based on the research I did, I was expecting a very good vacuum. I even opted for the more expensive one to increase the odds of getting a good vacuum that would last. Well, it lasted all of 3 months before it quit working. It will not even turn on. The much cheaper vacuum I had before this one - a Panasonic - is still working after many years. I can only hope the warrantee is as good as they claim it to be. Otherwise, I will be stuck with a very expensive lemon.

Started having issues, not picking up, hard to roll. We called Shark (5 yr warranty), their tech support was rude, difficult to understand. Shark has not stood by their 5 yr warranty.

Last year I had to have the floor nozzle replaced, the roller stopped spinning. That piece wasn't covered by warranty. Well, here we are 1 year later, and I am having the same issue. For the price the vacuum should last more than 1 year!

So disappointed

I used it for 25 min. and it stopped running. It's been about 30 mins still will not come on. I did not even have the chance to really use any of the options with it so I can not say how they work ! Very disappointed with this. It is my 3rd Shark in 5 years. I bought the higher priced one this time thinking it would last more than a year. Not even an hour !!! My rug is not filthy either.

We are sorry to learn that while using for the first time the unit shut off and would not turn back on. This can happen sometimes if the hose is not attached securely to the main body. We recommend removing the hose from the back of the unit and then reattach it with a bit of force ensuring you are hearing an audible click. Great Pick-Up; Hard to Maneuver

I’m 76 years old, so I have to vacuum my carpets in stages, resting every 20 minutes or so. It does such a tremendous job of picking up (even the dog hair from my 2 canine companions), that I decided not to return it!
