Q: Does this vacuum work well on wool area rugs?
A: Bought this model yesterday, after my 20 y/o Dyson finally bit the dust. I do NOT recommend it if you have wool rugs. It's way too hard to push on them and even harder to pull the vacuum back, plus it beats the heck out of the rug, even on the highest setting. Also do not recommend if you have arthritis or are older as both my husband and I find this design to be awkward to manage and use. The suction is great, true, but if I can't use it, that doesn't matter! It will be returned on Monday.
