This has been my first laptop purchase in years and my first mid-range laptop purchase as well (a step up from the stuff HP has been putting out over the last decade. Pros: Runs productivity programs smoothly and quickly (it's job) Solid build quality (doesn't feel like it is a plastic trinket that will break when lifted with one hand). Light!!! Nice touchscreen responsiveness Not preloaded with tons of bloatware Has a working fingerprint sensor for security access Cons: The keyboard is a bit awkward when folding into tablet mode On/Off button could use a different placement Bulky when trying to use in tablet mode, the screen is ENORMOUS!!! Other notes: I got it on sale, so the value was high, but otherwise, it is a big price step up from entry-level laptops out there for only a few hundred dollars more. If this device makes it past the 5-year mark, I'll be exceedingly pleased. I've had it for nearly 2 months and anything that would be a bad sign should have shown up already. As to the long-term quality of the touchscreen, we will all have to see about that. As it is, I very much enjoy this machine and I have no regrets buying it or recommending it to others.

This model ships with a 15.6 inch (screen size measured diagonally) IPS - FHD (1920x1080) 10-point Multi-touch screen, with a brightness level of 250 nits, has a Glossy finish. This screen provides 67 Percent of the sRGB (45 Percent NTSC) color gamut. This screen is made with AGC Glass for additional durability. If you are getting less than expected screen brightness, first be sure auto/adaptive brightness is turned off, then manually adjust screen brightness to your personal preference. I've been downloading large files since having it, including software and hardware programs and have not seen a change in speed or a decrease in processing. It runs everything smoothly. The touchscreen is super responsive and has never had a delay. I've never been more happy with a purchase!

Stay Away From Lenovo

I thought it fell in the "just right" category as far as specs and price were concerned, however...Lenovo is using some really trashy components. The left click on the touch pad is completely collapsed and inoperable, the keyboard itself is almost just as bad. Several wobbly keys with varying degrees of sensitivity. I use this exclusively with a mouse and keyboard now, which kinda defeats the purpose and makes me really wish it had more USB inputs and maybe an HDMI. The companies warranty is confusing and it doesnt seem like theres anyway to have these issues made right. This will be my last Lenovo product for sure. Luckily, not all is bad though. Battery life is and has been incredible compared to others I've used. The touchscreen is good, hinge and case are good and durable, and the internal hardware is all doing what it should.
