Great Product & Simple Installation

Product was at a reasonable price and after watching the youtube setup videos, it was easy to setup and install with a brick foundation and a power drill.

Video quality is a expected for a 1080. Though, noticed 2 to 5 seconds of lag when sensor is triggered at times. Great product overall.

Both Best Buy and Ring were incredibly helpful when I was missing a component. Their quick and effective support has been impressive. I’ll update my review once I’ve had a chance to use it.

Works great, but not as sleek as the newer models. I chose this one because it worked with my current chime and did not need a battery. Love ring -- we have 6 of them!

It notifys me every time there is movement outside. I even know when there's a car in front of my house! Love the peace of mind I get with this doorbell.

To be fair, I have mine in what is probably an uncommon configuration, mounted to the top of the door jam, looking straight down. I was having some packages disappear or never make it to my door, so got this as an attempt to monitor what was happening. First thing to note, mounted in any conventional way, say to the side of your door facing outward, the field of view will not include your doorstep. This is not a surprise since the camera would have to be able to see straight down, but since the app features package detection and alerts...I'm curious how the designer intended that be accomplished. Second, the motion sensitivity is generally poor. Even though mine is faced downward, the camera view still has a good 10-12 feet out from and to the sides of my door. I've tweaked the zones and other settings to favor greater sensitivity but nothing is ever picked up unless someone is standing on my doormat, and for a few seconds at that. Again, for the primary purpose of seeing and/or talking to someone at your door, it works just fine.

The Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Gen.) is designed to work in many environments to provide you with peace of mind and security. We can definitely provide you with more information regarding the motion detection concern that you mentioned in your review.
The Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Gen.) should be mounted no higher than 47-62 inches above the ground for optimal motion detection. We recommend using a Ring Wedge Kit for the Ring Video Doorbell (2nd Gen.) to properly position the device for the best view. It is also important to ensure that you have the proper motion settings in place for your environment. This camera uses adjustable motion detection and runs on passive infrared sensors. The system identifies visitors via a moving heat signature and sends a notification to your smart device when one is detected. You can adjust three preset motion zones and their distances under the "Motion Settings" tab on the device's page in the Ring app. Additionally, you can choose how often the camera checks for movement in those predefined zones via the "Motion Frequency" setting. If you find that your camera is missing some motions, please set the motion frequency to "Frequently."

Easy install and great picture

Completed the wired install in about 10 minutes after the unit charged/updates per the instructions. So far it has worked great with limited delay issues noted in other reviews.
