Keeps dropping WiFi connection.

It started just after the warranty expired. I spent 1 hour, and fifteen minutes on the phone with the Ring tech who kept saying it must be the internet providers problem, google fiber, however the other ring devises work just fine. I am exploring Google Nest as a replacement.

It sounds like your device keeps falling offline. Your device may need to be rebooted. If your Ring device is offline, you'll see a red offline icon over your device in the Ring app. Tap the icon and follow the instructions and tips to help you get your device back online. Then, follow the steps below to reboot your device in the Ring app:
Open the Ring app.
Tap the menu (☰).
Tap Devices.
Select the device you want to reboot.
Make sure it's connected to wifi.
Tap the Device Health tile.
Scroll down to Reboot This Device and confirm your selection.
Give your Ring device a few minutes to start up.

It sounds like you are having trouble signing up for the Ring Protect Plan. A Ring Protect subscription may be purchased on a monthly or yearly basis. You can subscribe to Ring Protect from your account on Ring.com. Follow the instructions below to subscribe on Ring.com:
From a web browser, log in to your Ring account.
Select Subscribe, then choose a plan and the devices you want coverage for.
If you selected multiple devices and choose Basic, the price of Basic will be charged for each device. Ring Protect Plus and Pro cover all devices at a single location for one price.
Select a monthly or annual payment option.
Enter your payment information and check out.
Review your order and select Purchase. You will receive a confirmation email for your subscription purchase. Once purchased, your subscription will automatically renew and continue until you choose to cancel it, which you can do at any time from your account on Ring.com.

Long delay to get notifications. Does not pick up all movements it should even at the highest setting. Had an Arlo prior and it was much easier to use and worked better

* We recently released the Rapid Ring App, which was designed to facilitate a speedy response when answering notifications. Rapid Ring is a "light" version of the classic Ring App with most of the features stripped out except for Ring device statuses and the ability to activate a Live View and respond to an event as quickly as possible. By using the Rapid Ring app instead of the original Ring App you'll be able to answer your notifications as quickly as possible.
Think of this app as a companion to the Ring App. You'll continue to use your original Ring App for all the settings functions built into your Ring devices such as checking video history or adjusting motion and video settings.
To download the app, please go to the App Store (for iOS devices) or the Play Store (for Android devices) and search for “Rapid Ring”. Download and install the Rapid Ring app on your mobile device.

Dual Band is Better

Thank you for detailing your experience with the Ring Video Doorbell - 2020 Release. Although this device only pairs with 2.4 GHz networks, it should provide you with timely video feeds. We hear your concern and are here to help.
For those experiencing delays with loading video, please reboot your router. Routers handle a lot of data and will perform best when powered down from time to time. This can help with video delays on your Ring devices.

It sounds like there was some confusion regarding the optional Ring Protect Plan. The Ring Protect Plan is a subscription that gives you access to paid features for Ring devices. With a Ring Protect Plan, you can save, review, and share video recordings from your Ring devices to your Ring account.
Without a Ring Protect Plan, you can still view real-time video for Ring doorbells and cameras and answer doorbell notifications when they happen, but you don’t get video recordings of those events. Visit our support center for additional information.

Don't waste your money

It starts recording way late into whatever motion it detects. I've missed vital events because of this. I would recommend Arlo. I've never had an issue with my Arlo set up.

After reading your review, it seems that your Ring Video Doorbell is not picking up the correct motion. The Ring Video Doorbell (2020 release) is the next generation of the original Ring Video Doorbell. In addition to new video features such as Near Zone functionality, the 2020 release Video Doorbell boasts 1080p video, improved night vision, improved audio quality and near motion zone detection. If you are having trouble with your device picking up the correct motion. We recommend adjusting your motion settings and zones. Motion Zones allow you to define a specific area that you want your Ring device to cover while ignoring everything outside that area. By selecting Motion Zones to cover only areas you want the Ring device to monitor, you can effectively monitor the area you want as well as reduce the number of “false positive” motion alert. Not worth it

Even though they give you a month free once that ends they don't allow you to keep service for just one of the items I had back and front but only really needed the front one. The Service lags at time which is a huge problem.

Loses Charge Too Quickly

I installed it using the recommended solar frame so I wouldn’t have to bring it in multiple times a year to charge it. It was fully charged when I installed it and it is now only at 27%. I was under the impression it would only need to be charged 2-3 times per year, but the solar panel frame should make it so it keeps a charge at all times - it gets quite a bit of sun each day. So frustrating!

It's also important to make sure the Solar Charger is receiving several hours of direct sunlight per day in order to provide a trickle charge to your Doorbell. Watch Out Bad Customer Svcing problems with this

When I did get ahold of someone they Wanted me to order a service call from Geek Squad for having them come and and do the install for $141.00 no thnks

It sounds like you are having some difficulty scanning the QR code during setup. Double-check the following if you are experiencing issues scanning the QR code:
Ensure you are in a well-lit area.
Move your camera closer or further from the QR code to help it focus.
Once your camera finds focus, hold it steady for a few seconds.
If your camera won’t focus, clean your camera lens, move to a well-lit area, and try again.
If you continue to experience issues, please follow these additional steps:
Tap Other Options below the scanner.
Select I can't scan the QR code.
Select Enter Code Manually (this corresponds to the PIN code digits underneath the QR code).
Find your device on the list.
Enter your five-digit PIN located below the QR code.
If you're still having difficulty, please reach out to our support team for further assistance.

Have to remove to recharge
