This works just as well and was easy to install and update the app to include the new device. The subscription service was worth it for me and saved me 500 dollars in landscaper fees when I could prove they did not come to my house on specific dates.

Ring camera

Picture quality is amazing and I love how it notifies you right away when there’s activity. Definitely appreciate the feature of being able to speak to whom ever is outside.

I have another doorbell that kept going offline and was difficult to reset. Ring is more simple to operate and does everything I need it to on my front door.

Ring Doorbell Wireless

Has a good volume when recording who is talking near your door or right outside of it. I purchased this so that I feel safer at home and also for the excessive amount of packages I order :)

One piece in a security system

I get alerts on my phone and my watch. It was very easy to install (wireless) and set up. It's an add-on to Ring security system, all integrates well.

I upgraded to this 2020 1080 version from the Original. Better picture quality for sure. I think there’s still much improvement that can be done on the audio and video. But this is best value for someone first ring. There’s a yearly fee for storing videos captured but it’s not required for use. If you choose to not get that you see live videos only while they happen and that’s not practical use.
