More connectivity than google hello.

Once I did this the feature only works with google speakers….and no IFTTT support… So to use my echos and other smart speakers, a cheaper ring than the nest hello. It works well. No complaints. Ring and ifttt hit all my devices and speakers.

This ring doorbell was very inexpensive and has a wide camera lens. I would recommend buying this one over the other options.

We would like to provide you with solutions to the concerns you are experiencing today!
To enable your in-home chime, please follow these steps in the Ring app:
Open the Ring app to the main dashboard.
Tap more (•••) on the camera you want to access.
Tap your device's Settings.
Tap the Device Settings tile.
Tap In-home Chime Settings.
Select your Chime Type (Mechanical, Digital, or None)
Tap the toggle to turn on or turn off your in-home doorbell chime.
Tap Save in the upper right to save your changes.
If the app is unable to detect an in-home chime, follow the steps below to manually configure.
Tap Advanced Settings.
Select your Chime Type (Mechanical, Digital Type 1, or Digital Type 2).
Tap Continue.
Tap Ring my in-home chime.
Follow the prompts in the app to complete the test.
Using incompatible power sources can damage your device and cause electric shock. To identify which type or doorbell chime you have, listen to the sound it makes.
A mechanical chime uses a physical bell and a mechanical hammer and makes a traditional ding-dong sound. A digital chime plays pre-recorded digital tones through an electronic speaker and often has a selection of different tones you can choose from. If you're unsure what type of doorbell chime you have, remove the front of your chime box and look inside for a bell and hammer or an electronic speaker.

I didn’t feel ace in my home and this is great quality and you get the 30 free trial in the app for recording. And because of this I was able to catch my ex coming to my house when he knew I wasn’t home !!! Go get yours !!

Owned for 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Earlier this summer, after a couple of years of working fine, suddenly Smart Alerts (a service I pay Ring for annually) stopped detecting vehicles. Over months I tried resetting, rebooting, reconfiguring, and restarting. I tried suggestions I saw on forums from others with the same issue. Ring's AI Chat was of no help at all, an email was never responded to, and Customer Service was entirely useless. Last ditch effort I bought another exact same model doorbell hoping it was some kind of weird electronics failure, but even with a new unit & fresh install it still does not detect vehicles. Keeping in mind this system/configuration worked fine for about 2 years then suddenly stopped detecting only vehicles, and because of what I've read on different forums, I suspect Ring changed something in their Smart Alert programming which had this effect on my system (and apparently on other's too). I can't recommend Ring products or their services because of this failure, I'll not be renewing service with them going forward, and I'll be seeking an alternative video doorbell system.

The Ring Video Doorbell Wired was designed to capture motions based on your specifications to help keep your home secure. We are here to provide you with some information to resolve the issue you mentioned in your review.
It sounds like the device is not performing as expected in regards to motion detection. It is important to ensure that you have the proper motion settings in place for your environment. Here are a few tips to optimize the motion settings on your security camera:
1. Adjust Motion Sensitivity: Ring devices can detect motion up to 30 feet with the Motion Sensitivity slider at the maximum level. If you turn Motion Sensitivity down, this range will be lower, decreasing false motion. If your device is missing motion, increase the Motion Sensitivity using the slider.
2. Change the position of your Ring device: Adjust the position of your camera to improve the accuracy of motion detection.
3. Turn on Smart Alerts: You can enable Smart Alerts on your doorbell or camera to improve motion accuracy in detecting people and other objects, including packages. To turn on Smart Alerts, tap the Motion Settings tile on the device’s page in the Ring app. A Ring Home Plan is required to use Smart Alerts.
4. Change the Motion Frequency: Under Advanced Settings, tap Motion Frequency. You can adjust how often battery-powered devices check for motion. If your device is missing motion events, increase the Motion Frequency to Frequently (Shortest battery life—Motion detection always stays active) in the Ring app. If too much motion is being detected, change the frequency to Regularly (Medium battery life—Motion detection takes a short break after each motion alert) or Periodically (Maximum battery life—Motion detection takes a longer break after each alert).
