Went through all the basic stuff by making sure the lint trap and vent were clear. No major blockages were found. That was yesterday. Today it’s back to not heating at all. A 90 minute timed cycle left my clothes still damp. It now takes 2-3 cycles to get my clothes dry. This is a huge problem because we are a household of 7 and now can’t do laundry. TL;DR spend your $1000 on something better.

Posted .If you have not already done so, we recommend you disconnect power to your dryer for 2-3 minutes to reset the electronics as well as the breakers. This dryer has not been playing nice with us. We understand we might have had a slight learning curve with this new dryer, but we have tried everything to get our clothes dry. We read and re-read the manual, tried things our own way, and even with WASHER LINK enabled, our clothes still need more time. EXAMPLE 1: I washed TEN large bath towels and 12 face cloths. On WASHER LINK, the dryer sets to TOWELS mode. When the drying cycle is complete, the towels come out slightly damp and not hot, but somewhat warm. I have to run a QUICK DRY which adds about 25 more minutes to drying time (and to my electric bill), in order to get dry, hot towels. EXAMPLE 2: My wife washes everything by separating heavy's and light clothing. Clothes come out of the washer with no wrinkles and not wet. She puts the clothes in the dryer according the load and let's it run. When the cycle is complete, some clothes are dry, but most of the load is really wrinkled or damp. This was installed by a Best Buy contractor, who leveled the dryer, put a new vent pipe in, and taped the seams. I'm not sure what is wrong, but I'm going to reach out to GE, we may have a defective dryer. My 15 year old (which I still have), does a better job than this new one.

We recommend checking the vent hose and the wall cap on the outside of your home looking for any type of obstruction or blockage as either could affect dry performance. If you continue to experience long dry times, please call GE Appliances Service at 1-800-432-2737 to schedule an appointment to have your dryer checked by a factory trained technician.

Door has to shut pretty hard to latch properly and the lent trap isn’t the smoothest to get in and out but other than those small complaints it’s all you need and then some.

Terrible product, terrible service.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We have had this Dryer since January of 2023, right after the warranty ran out the heat stopped working. Even as a total tech member I had to pay for a service call. The tech fixed the heat, but the next day it broke again. He had to order a part which took a few days to arrive and come back. Shortly after that was fixed another part broke and had to be fixed. Every time there was an issue it took days to get a tech out. No dryer with 3 kids is certainly a challenge. After all of this was fixed it stopped heating again. Best Buy should have replaced the dryer but wouldn’t and wanted me to pay again for a technician to come out. I refused to pay and cut my losses on this dryer and bought a new one. Dave the local technician was great and even gave me his cell number to help expedite if issues kept happening (which they did). I am disappointed with the service I was provided given I was a total tech member and have spent a good amount of money at Best Buy. I will never buy an appliance from there again.
