DO NOT BUY!!!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The worst HP printer in the lineup. We had this printer as a temporary replacement and missed our return date or we would have done so. Below is a detailed list in no particular order of what I dislike about it: 1: the digital display has no backlight and it hard to read 2: the print speed is unreasonably slow compared to other models 3: the paper tray that collects printed sheets does not extend causing pages to sometimes shoot off the stack and onto the floor (hope you have pr need page numbering turned on. 4: the paper tray itself gets stuck on a constant basis and is difficult to replace when empty 5: this printer regularly disconnects from your wifi. Should auto shut-off happen, you will be stuck with restarting the printer just to get the wifi to re-register. 6: if the printer has committed to a job, but you had second thoughts, it will freeze up all other jobs when you cancel the one, and cancelling every job will give you an error on the first cancelled job of "deleting-restarting-canceling". 7: the printer has an auto shut-off feature that puts it into sleep mode. This is great except when you want it to turn back on. you go to press a button but it does not wake up. So you tap the power button, but instead of "waking up", it shuts down and you are forced to bear through its 2-4 minute boot up sequence.

Nice oprinter
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This a premium ink jet all in one printer. Physical setup is fairly easy. They provide very easy instructions and the cardboard shipping pieces are marked and simple to remove and configure. Ink is provided and very easy to install. The HP App is no intuitive at all. That's my only complaint. Makes the setup clunky.

We originally bought the Epson tankless printer
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. We have owned many HP printers over the years but decided to try the Epson tankless printer. Setup was a nightmare as it would not stay connected to our WIFI network. Returned and tried a second Epson. After hours over two days we took it back and bought this HP SmartTank. We had some concern as it had far fewer reviews. Well setup was very simple and took little time. Drivers seem to be in the printer as all we needed on the computer was an app. Setup took maybe 10 minutes, it connected to our WIFI no problem and has worked great. Highly recommend.

NEVER CHANGING FROM HP PRINTERS EVER!!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.HP Printers all the way! This one 7301 Smart Tank is amazing. I had a horrendous time trying to set up another brand before this one, and I spent a week, we called the Geeks, they spent a night on it, said it was fixed, and then when I tried it out, it wasn't. Not blaming them, there is a BAD disconnect with some of their software (the other printer's) and I finally gave up. We bought this one, I came home and within an hour - I needed a Coke - I had it set up, filled up and printing. It has new tank ink cartridges, and supposedly is cheaper to fill, plus the ink is supposed to last longer. I honestly don't care. At least I got it set up on my own and life is good!!!!!

Easy setup; Great to be done with cartridges!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After having cartridge-based HP Ink Jet printers for who knows how many years (15+) - and cussing every time we had to buy cartridges practically every month - we were still a little apprehensive about trying this new tank-based version. Especially worried about avoiding spilling the ink in the bottle when filling the tanks. Nonsense! This was super easy. I do have a bit harder time getting used to the smartphone-based app than the direct screen, but I credit that fear to being over 60 years of age. That's on me, not HP. Great printer, absolutely no regrets!

Good quality printer, yet more cumbersome to work
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Generally, this is a good printer that replaced our previous HP. The best feature is that the ink wells are preferable to replacing cartridges more often. There are fewer buttons and it seems the functionality to scan/fax must come from your computer and the HP Smart app. Without it, I’m not sure how to scan or fax. I do not believe you can scan onto a thumb drive from this printer, which the prior HP was able to do. You must scan to your computer and then transfer to a thumb drive. Copying quality is good yet seems to take longer to activate the printer to get the copying process to begin and finish.

Good printer but has its shortcomings
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Finally free of cartridges. Ink install is simple and neatly spillproof. Oddly, the printer has a few key features only ccessible by the printer’s webpage on your network such as 2 sided copying. Lack of a proper screen makes it difficult to assess printer status. Print quality is excellent.

So far, so good.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. It's been a month and the printer has been great. Easy to set up and get connected by wifi. Very easy to fill the ink tanks. Double sided printing works great. The scanner works great. A handy note: as long as you've got the printer set up on one computer or phone via the app, others can print to it without going through the app set up, you just use Windows "find printer" on network native feature.

Good printer
||Posted . Owned for more than 2 years when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall good printer and very cheap colored pages! The only few negatives: quite loud and slow and sometimes it glitches. This is a second one since the first one was flawed and had it replaced before the 1 year manufacturing warranty.

No more cartridges! Go tank!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good. Replaces a 4600 HP all in one. Setup was (diskless) and easy. Loading ink from bottles to tank effortless and zero mess. Print quality excellent and speed is amazing. It has a quiet mode which is slower, but the normal mode really goes! My table shakes from side to side, which I do not mind. Have not used scanner, fax, or autofeed yet. The duplex printing is really nice and reduces paper consumption. I will update review if something changes. I would recommend as you can spend more on ink than the printer.

Great all-in-one!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. So far so good with this new HP printer. I’ve always gone with HP, and when my 4/5 year old printers wifi went out, I found this one for a great deal. As little as I actually print, the advertised 2 years of ink may actually last that long or longer for me! I love the new tank design instead of the cartridges too!

Great shift. Wish for 1200 DPI
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great to see tank printers take hold. No need to have an expensive cartridge. It is so much cheaper. The printing is really high quality if you occasionally realign it. Also wish it could go to 1200 dpi instead of just 600. The software though is by far the best HP i have experienced.

HP SmartTank 7301 - good buy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The HP Smart Tank printer was easy to setup. It prints quickly and is pretty quiet. It's more expensive than a lot of printers but so far seems to be worth it.

So far Worth it!!
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My HP6600 printer expired after 8 years. I was in the market for new printer. After some research I decided to stick with HP. This printer is more money I was planning to spent but it has been worth it. Very easy to install/set up. The ink bottle are very convenient and easy to fill in the printer. Hopefully this new system ink bottle vs. cartridge will pay off the printer itself. So far very happy with the purchase. Also HP app is amazing to scan/print documents.
