One charging cable is never enough

Don't buy those cheap gas station cords. Insignia makes high quality cords and result in fast charging.

Insignia 4' 4K HDMI Cable

These shorter Insignia 4K HDMI Cables did the trick. No more glitches.

The store I went to said they were in stock but were not displayed, and I had to order online before picking them up
