Posted .Hello ChaChaChau! I am terribly sorry to hear that your device is dropping internet connection now after 8 months of not having any issues with it. I would recommend a few paths to try to fix this. First, you can try to test your network connection. You can do this by swiping down from the top and navigating to Settings>Network then tapping the "i" next to your Wi-Fi setting. In here, you can see if you have a strong connection. If you don't then you can tap Forget and then try to reconnect to it. (Be sure you know your Wi-Fi password before tapping forget.) If this doesn't resolve it, you can swipe down and navigate to Settings>Device Options>Check for Software Updates. This ensures that you have the latest update to address any bugs that may have happened. If neither of these work, then I would recommend contacting Amazon Customer Support at 888.280.4331 to explore further options and troubleshooting available to you. I can't seem to find the setting to take ads away. I already bought the thing and subscribe to Prime. I don't need to be sold anymore.

A significant improvement over the 2nd Gen

I was always repeating requests on the 2nd Gen. Not so with the new one. A worthwhile upgrade for me.
