I use it as an alarm clock and quick hands free inquiries. It also has the drop in feature. Great if kids have to wake up and get ready for school while your at work. it's like a nanny.

Have to call Amazon to get it straight. They no longer list a telephone number to call so may be out of commission for awhile.

Screen is easy to use and images are crisp. Setting up smart devices was easy and it communicates efficiently with the devices.

The kids lock is very efficient it limits their searches. It’s great to connect them with grandma and other family members without having to expose them to a full phone.

The sound is much louder and clearer. It even has a little bit more processing speed. Much better from generation one I have.

I use this as an intercom screen for my ring doorbell. Another useful feature I use is to make a shopping list which automatically transfers the list to my phone.

Slower verbal command processing can sometimes be improved with a few simple steps: ensure your Echo Show 5 is connected to a strong Wi-Fi signal, check that the device software is up to date by going to Settings > Device Options > Check for Software Updates, and try restarting the device by unplugging it for 30 seconds and plugging it back in. If Alexa+ features are actively running in the background, they may occasionally require a moment longer to process — this can improve over time as the device settles in.
