Does what it's supposed to. Just very well. I would recommend this vacuum to anyone.

I had a vacuum only a couple years old. Didn't do well at all.. then I got this.. awesome!! Shark wings over Hoover everytime!!

Me and my wife were amazed by this vacuum! We were vacuuming our house when our 5 year old Hoover died out on us. I did my research and decided to try out this shark vacuum. The next day, I went to revacuum the house and work my way to the rooms I didn't get to get, and this vacuum was pulling dirt out of the carpet vacuumed the day before like it was grains of sand. And our old vacuum worked fine until it died without warning, very impressed!

The inner handle springs and mechanism stripped down within a month of purchase. What I mean is the handle will no longer stay connected to the base, so in order to use this I have to hold down the middle of both the base and handle or it separates on every pass. I switched to this model from the lower model Shark Navigator and I feel that the lower model was sufficient and had better attachments. The attachments that came with this one do not make logical sense for floor cleaning, so I assume it for cleaning blinds. The lower model came with an amazing crevice tool, this one does not. The fact that it is a nuisance to use after one month is disconcerting. I have emailed the manufacturer who requested I call them for further assistance, so I reserve final judgement pending service, but in all of the years of owning vacuums, I have never had such trouble in the first few months of ownership. So, I've returned to Consumer Reports for its next recommendation.
