Wrong vacuum for me!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This model, which I spent quite a long time deciding on, turned out to be very unsuitable for me because I am not stable after having had a bad fall and spine fractures. So I am back to using my older Hoover Windtunnel after getting it repaired, because it helps me to maintain my balance. Shark is good, but not for me!

Its a good vacuum for the money.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like Shark vacuums, I purchased this for my 83 old mother. She finds some of the control difficult. They are in strange places. I own the Shark - Rotator Professional Lift-Away, it is much better to work with. Also it is more expensive, guess that's why.

attachments are clumsy
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The vacuum itself is light weight, which I like, however the attachments don't fit onto the unit. Big disappointment. I needed a vaccum and picked based on price point. Won't do that again.

Old school vacuum got whooped
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Here is a perspective from a person who was using a typical upright vacuum. * Had a 7-10 year old traditional- style Eureka Boss hepa upright -- wow what an austounding difference between the lift-away deluxe and the Boss in so many ways. Should have bought one of these new highly-rated new style vacuums sooner. * I'll leave it to others to debate if Shark is the reason this is so much better than my traditional upright -- I tend to think there are likely winners in other brands as well and that the glowing reviews are a culmination of multiple attributes, not just the brand. * The smaller brush area and light weight are really nice -- they make this vacuum great for both carpet and hard floors. Easy to maneuver. * I chose this model because of all the attachments -- don't underestimate included attachments when you buy your vacuum. * These new styles are basically transformers -- I thought it was hype, but it really is so much easier to vacuum steps, floors, vents, baseboard, ceiling fans, etc. * Given more time and possibly a bigger budget I would try to find one with a long-reach hose without the handle in the middle like this model has. While the handle is convenient at times, the handle outs about a 90 degree angle into play making it awkward at times with attachments. * Another design improvement needed is the attachment holder on the long reach assembly makes it inconvenient to get between tight spaces with banging things or trying to twist the attachments into some new position. * The fill line on the plastic container should be much more obvious. Yes, it is only about 1/3 of the way up, but the first few times we used it we never noticed where it was and had a little too much dirt in it. * Would like to see longer bristles on the brush attachment. * There is no "stop" on the hinge when you lower the handle. Let me explain. On the old vacuum I could lower the handle and at some point the beater bar would pivot off the floor breaking the suction. This vacuum (and maybe all these new styles) simply keep lowering and the beater part stays on the floor and sucking away. Maybe this is handy for getting under a few things, but it does me no good when vacuuming a throw rug and it starts to get sucked into the vacuum :) In conclusion the 90 degree bend in the extension hose is the biggest pain in the butt, however the vacuum still does a great job and it came with a lot of attachments so it deserves 4 stars and a recommendation in my opinion.

average
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Hard to dump out it you have animals as the fur gets stuck so have to pull out with hand. Even with the suction on low it was hard to push on carpet. Not at all what I was expecting.

Not sharks best
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Too heavy. I didn’t like the swivel motion. It had great power. I didn’t mind the price, but overall think it could be a better vacuum.

Too much suction
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Does not work for area rugs or carpet runners. You can’t turn down the suction enough and it pulls up the whole rug. Very disappointed.

Posted .Hello Carrie,
Thank you for taking the time to leave a review.
Based on how the unit is pulling the carpet, it sounds like there’s a chance the Shark Navigator may not be working as it should. Could you please give our team a call at 1-855-427-5127? We’d love to help ensure you’re getting the most from your product.
Kind regards,
Shark Clean

Not what I wanted.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The cord is too short and the hose does not reach very high or far. Doesn't have a wand to reach higher. The placement of the bagless container makes it hard to control.
