Apparently you can use other liquids like mouthwash in the basin aside from water which is neat.

Posted .Hello ErickM - Thank you for your feedback. We're happy to hear that the model was easy to use right out of the box! Mouthwash is fine to use with the model. Just remember to run clean water through the unit after each use to flush any residual additives out of the water pathway.

So much better then flossing and so much easier. Every time we use it, so many things are removed between our teeth. Now every time we travel, we hate being away from this unit.
