It sounds like a lawn mover. If you're going for water flosser, having one with a tank is preferable to a stand alone hand held unit. I tried those too and they run out of water too quickly. I'm returning this and buying one that connects directly to my faucet. This is a waste.

Great Waterpic for value

Looked at Target, Walmart and Best Buy. Best Buy was best price by several $. Cover on top keeps tips out of the way. Multiple tips provided with purchase.

Works well and keeps tartar at bay

I have always liked that extra clean feeling and used that one until my daughter got braces and I gave it to her. I have tried other ones but none compare to waterpik. Well worth the extra time it takes eack brushing.
