Overall a nice laptop and it did the initial setup without any real issues. However, it would not recognize my USB thumb drive, just beeped continously. After some extended research online which was way more trouble than it should have been, I was able to fix it by uninstalling the root usb in device manager and then after a couple more errors, it worked. There is NO WAY that level of effort should be required on a new computer. I also hate that Microsoft Office appears to be installed when it really isn't. If it's not included with the PC, it should NOT be on the PC at all. It confused my installation of Office from another source. Screen brightness seems to be too washed out but probably just need to get used to it. It was easy to buy it online and pick it up within an hour. That was important to our purchase too.

I'd prefer to get an Apple product, but requires a few other things to work well with its needed. HP was a solution, and less expensive. I had to exchanged it once for the same machine (problems), but it fits the purpose. Overall, I'm happy.

Purchased this HP computer afrter I returned another. Although listed as faster than the previous computer, speed was not as quick as expected. Still takes longer to load than my Win 7 machine. Does have a touchscreen and works well.

This hp laptop is great for the needs of my home. The i5 processor is plenty fast. The battery lasts plenty long enough. The touchscreen is great with windows ink. The only thing I wish it had that it doesn't is a backlit keyboard.

It is a durable and reliable laptop that is easy to travel or carry.
