I always get protection on large purchases but not sure if its worth the extra money. From my experiences appliances usually go bad after warranty is up.

I don't normally get the extended warranty, but the unknown provenance of the TV brand makes me a bit anxious.

If you buy a 2 year geek squad #Warranty for your TV the two years starts the day of purchase, the coverage doesn’t start until after the 1 year manufacture warranty ends, that means you’re actually only getting one year coverage not 2, the 1 year after the manufacture warranty ends. Rip off!

The geek squad support isn't very necessary for a product like this. I got one on a laptop and he honestly told me to buy another laptop for the price to fix it.

They should offer accidental protection in my opinion. And we as customers should still receive our plans details, individually. I mean we're literally entering a contract that we have to read through adverts to get to know some of the information.

I haven't had to use this yet, but hopefully don't have to. I have had to use these for other products and was disappointed. Hopefully this doesn't happen again.

Don't count on 5-years worth of protection. The coverage is only extended until you have reached the purchase amount of the device, which includes minor diagnostic tech support (online or in-person). Highly recommended DO NOT use unless you have to in order to not exceed the protection limits.

I purchased 2 yr warranty. I haven't used it yet. Can't think of anything else to say. H Oi ve me a break.

Haven't needed them for a house call yet but when I was "in a state of mind" they walked me through the steps, OVER THE PHONE! So far, so good!

I didn’t need to use the Geek squad protection, but it was probably good to purchase in case something were to go wrong with my new television.

I can’t remember purchasing this service. If it was, I bought it for an Onkyo 6 CD changer.

It's always good to have protection. Kind of.on the expensive side though

Best Buy warranties used to be the best, but since couple of yeas it has become the worse ever. I used to recommend anybody to buy in best buy, not any more. Best buy has become a joke. I'm giving a star because I need to give it in order for me to post the complain.

Does what’s intended, although I find it to be a bit overpriced when compared to others.

It's hard to review this as I did not use the Geek Squad at all. It's like buying insurance, unless you use it, you do not know how good it is.

It is there if I need it and that is comforting. I am not much on after sale warranties but there is much that can go wrong with the purchased TV.
