I bought the extended warranty for my new tv just in case I have a problem

I purchased a TV with 5 years protection plan. After experiencing a problem, I contacted Best Buy, expecting support through the 5-year protection plan I purchased. To my surprise, they told me their protection doesn’t start until after the 1-year Samsung warranty ends, and refused to take responsibility. I then had to go through Samsung, who eventually admitted they couldn't fix the issue and ended up refunding me for the TV and taking it back. When I returned to Best Buy to get a refund for the protection plan (since the product was no longer with me), they said it was already "in use" and deducted money for the days that had passed, even though they never actually provided any service or support. they refused to give me support and pushed me to contact Samsung. Don’t trust Best Buy. They sell expensive products, and even if you purchase their protection plan, they’ll find a way to dodge responsibility. You're better off buying elsewhere.

I actually want to get the 5 year warranty over the 2 year now just so that I feel more safe!

MY OLD TV DIDNT HAVE ANY INSURANCE, BUT WITH MY NEW ONE, I PREFERRED TO BUY IT BECAUSE I BELIEVED IT IS WORTH IT.
