Received BROKEN ROTATING RING and had an online Chat with Marvin H. of your Geek Squad. Marvin told me that he escalated the problem of the BROKEN ROTATING RING which was shown to me by the Installer. Marvin said that I would be contacted by Best Buy but it's been over a week and I haven't heard from anyone. RECEIVED

You get it cause you feel like you have to. Takes for ever to get someone on the phone. In my experiences they didn’t help me in any way

I have not had to use them so I guess it is proof of their products quality

This people are thieves,they forced me to get an insurance on a LG tv.i cant get no help when i need the service.

Sales associates will tell you any damage is covered when selling you the protection plan, but we had a monitor that was damaged during a move and they would not fix or repair it.

I have had it for a while but know much about it one .

Don't know if I'll need the protection or or not for my tv, but it gives me a peace of mind for my purchase.

I haven't had to use my Geek Squad warranty so far.

If you buy something with warr then it suppose to be covered

The device we purchased came with a one year factory warranty. We paid $20 for a two year warranty thinking that we would have a total of three years of warranty on our new device. After the purchase we received an email from Geek Squad that showed our "new extended" warranty was already in effect and would expire two years from the date of purchase. We asked about this several times before we checked out and between the up-sale we were getting for not choosing the five year warranty for only $10 more than the two year $20 warranty we chose instead. The associate did not seem to understand what we were asking and just continued to tell us what was not covered (dropping the TV, getting the TV wet, etc). We went to the store late to purchase the tv because our current tv had just went out so we were trying to get out of the store before 10:00pm and back home as soon as we could. The only reason we went to the store that late was the tv we wanted was on sale just through that day. I feel like we made a $20 mistake on a $149 TV. Live and learn.

I bought a refrigerator and had to use a warranty to get it fixed. They had to order the parts and it’s been more than a month and a half and still not fixed and still do not have parts until the beginning of June, I am beyond mad.

I set up my DVD. I Neve needed the geek squad but I had it if I needed it.

In March purchased a 42” Insignia F20 Smart FireTV for my 76 year old mother that lives in SC. TV stopped working about 2 weeks after purchase. According to agreement they were suppose to provide home service for size 42 and Up and an appointment was made for to do a home repair. My appointment was canceled because they said they don’t do home repair for 42” tv however it clearly states it in the agreement. After making several appointments and having them cancelled at the last mintue, I had to drive 8 hours to drive the TV to a Best Buy’s store.

Won’t know the value of this unless we have to use it down the road

Haven't needed it but good to know that it's there just in case.

The geek squad warranty is good except for the fact the clock starts at purchase however your still stuck dealing with the manufacturer directly for the manufacturer warranty period, Best Buy claims your covered from day one except that’s only for non covered issues. You can’t go to Best Buy for covered issues or handle the repair via the manufacturer. That part is ridiculous.
